Jeff Dittman returns back to Dakota State University after a four-year coaching stint at Hastings College in Hastings, Neb.  He begins his seventeenth year as head coach of the Lady T's with new set of challenges facing his squad.

During Dittman's four-year coaching stint at Hastings, he compiled an overall record of 91-42 and 45-29 in the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).  He guided the Broncos to three NAIA Division II Women's Basketball National Tournament appearances - national runner-up in 2009 and two 'Sweet Sixteen' appearances in 2010 and 2012.  During the 2009-10 season, Dittman guided his team to a No. 1 ranking in the final regular-season poll with an overall record of 31-4 and earned the GPAC conference and conference tournament titles.  In addition, he received Coach of the Year honors from the GPAC.

Dittman is no stranger to Dakota State as he coached the Lady T's basketball team for 15 years.  He took DSU to six national tournament appearances, including two 'Elite Eight' appearances in 2000 and 2006.  His teams also advanced to the 'Sweet Sixteen' round in 2001 and 2008.  He produced an overall record of 245-201 (.549 winning percentage) - the most wins by a women's basketball head coach at DSU - and earned five conference regular-season titles (two consecutive years in 2000 and 2001 and three straight seasons from 2006 to 2008).  Dittman's Lady T squad also won three conference tournament championships in 2000, 2004 and 2007.

In Dittman's tenure at Dakota State, the Lady T's were ranked in the NAIA 'Top Twenty' numerous times - ranking as high as No. 5 during the 2007-08 season.  He was named the conference Coach of the Year three times (1998, 2001 and 2007) and the South Dakota Basketball Coaches' Association Coach of the Year two times (2000 and 2006).

Dakota State produced produced two All-Americans, four Honorable Mention All-American, and twenty All-Conference players during Dittman's first coaching tenure with the Lady T's.  Besides their success on the court, the DSU Lady T's produced twenty-two NAIA Academic All-Americans.

Jeff and his wife Dawn have a daughter Taylor and reside in Madison.
