Forster signs letter-of-intent to join DSU Baseball team

SALEM, S.D. - Eric Hortness, Dakota State University's assistant baseball coach, is excited to announce the signing of Jon Forster from Salem. He will be joining the Trojan Baseball program in the fall of 2012.

MADISON, S.D. - Kyle Holland (a transfer from Manchester Community College in Connecticut) has joined the Dakota State University baseball team for the 2012 season. He is expected to be one of the several new additions to the Trojans' team that is cautiously optimistic.

The list of seven recruits includes individuals from five different regions of North America. Within in this group of signees are two junior college transfers and five 2011 high school graduates.

DICKINSON, N.D. - The Dakota State University baseball team continued their action in their final Dakota Athletic Conference (DAC) Baseball Postseason Tournament at the Southside Municipal Park. The Trojans faced Minot State in the loser’s out game on Thursday morning. Minot State eliminated DSU from postseason action as the Beavers recorded a 12-2 victory in eight innings.

DICKINSON, N.D. - For the first time this season, the Dakota State University baseball team traveled to North Dakota to play in their final Dakota Athletic Conference (DAC) Postseason Tournament. The sixth-seed DSU faced third-seed Jamestown in the opening round at the Southside Municipal Ballpark. Dakota State grabbed an early 2-0 lead, but Jamestown scored 12 straight unanswered runs in the last five innings to defeat the Trojans 12-2 in eight innings.

The Trojans will face Dickinson State in a Dakota Athletic Conference (DAC) doubleheader. It was originally scheduled to play in Dickinson, N.D., but the wet field playing conditions forced to relocate the games.
