JAMESTOWN, N.D. - Fourth-seed Valley City State (N.D.) and fifth-seed Dakota State (S.D.) met for the second time Thursday evening in an elimination game of the NAIA Baseball Unaffiliated Conference Tournament at Jack Brown Stadium. The Vikings used a seven-run fourth inning to storm to an 8-0 lead and held off Trojans' late rally by the score of 13-9, eliminating DSU from postseason play.

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. - Max Garza, former Dakota State University baseball player, was drafted this week to the Schaumburg Boomers, a member of the Frontier Baseball League (independent league). Garza was selected in the third round in the 2013 Frontier League Tryout Camp Draft.

JAMESTOWN, N.D. - Fifth-seed Dakota State earned a 6-4 lead heading in the top sixth inning versus top-seed Mayville State (N.D.) in the second round of the 2013 NAIA Baseball Unaffiliated Conference Tournament at Jack Brown Stadium. After recording the first two outs of the sixth inning, the Comets exploded for four runs to regain their lead and held on to defeat the Trojans 8-7.

JAMESTOWN, N.D. - Danny Flahie hit his first home run of the season in the top 12th inning with no outs as Dakota State broke a 13-13 tie into a one-run lead Wednesday in the opening round of the NAIA Baseball Unaffiliated Conference Tournament at Jack Brown Stadium. The Vikings went three-and-out in the bottom 12th inning as the Trojans held on to a wild 14-13 victory, advancing to the next round scheduled for tonight.
