MADISON, S.D. - Beyond Sports Network (BSN) has announced the 2011 College Football Season All-American recipients. These athletes have been recognized for their outstanding performances, accomplishments and efforts at their respective collegiate level. Junior Eric Liles of Dakota State was one of the recipients to the BSN All-American team.

MADISON, S.D. - Two Dakota State University football players are part of the 55-members to the 2011 NAIA Football All-Independent teams, with players honored from ten different NAIA independent football programs who nominated athletes. The All-Independent team provides an opportunity for all coaches of the 2011 NAIA independent football programs to nominated and vote on an All-Conference team.

Kickoff from the Jerome Berg Field is set for 2 p.m. (it was originally scheduled for 2:30 p.m., but had been pushed back to 2 p.m. to avoid the conflicts with DSU's basketball doubleheader at Mayville State Saturday night).

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Former Dakota Athletic Conference members Dakota State and South Dakota Mines battled out in football Saturday afternoon at O’Harra Stadium. The Trojans trailed 14-7 at halftime, but the Hardrockers outscored DSU 28-10 in the final 20 minutes for their first win of the season 42-17.

MADISON, S.D. - The Dakota State University football team hosted Dordt (Iowa) Defenders in Trojans’ season home finale late Saturday afternoon at Trojan Field. The Defenders outscored the Trojans 27-8 in the second-half and defeated DSU 40-20.

THIS WEEK: After posting a long-waited victory on Oct. 15, the Dakota State University football team (1-7 overall record) looks to make it two straight wins this Saturday as they host Dordt (Iowa) in Trojans' final home game of the season. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. at Trojan Field. Seniors will be recognized prior to the game as they play their final home career game. It will be both teams' first-ever meeting in football program history.

MADISON, S.D. – Dakota State’s defense shut down Briar Cliff in the first three quarters and maintained a 24-0 lead before the Chargers made their late rally in the game. The Trojans held on and snapped their 17-game losing streak with a 24-16 victory over Briar Cliff Saturday afternoon at Trojan Field. It was the annual ‘Rushing for a Cure’ game, where Trojans’ players wear pink athletic tapes to help raise cancer awareness.
