MADISON, S.D. - The Dakota State University women's basketball team hosted its in-state rival Mount Marty in both teams' second meeting of the season Tuesday night at DSU Fieldhouse. The Trojans fell to the Lancers 61-37 and give Mount Marty a season sweep over DSU. MMC had won the last eight meetings in the series versus the Trojans.

THIS WEEK: Dakota State (6-16 overall record) remains home at DSU Fieldhouse this week for a pair of games from teams in South Dakota. The Trojans host Mount Marty (14-9, 9-6 in Great Plains Athletic Conference play) on Tuesday night as part of DSU Faculty/Staff Appreciation night. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. On Saturday night, DSU welcomes University of Sioux Falls (15-2) with a tip-off starting at 5:30 p.m. Dakota State's advertising sponsors recognition will take place on Saturday.

MADISON, S.D. - Dakota State overcame a sluggish start Friday night at DSU Fieldhouse, hosting Trinity Bible (N.D.). The Trojans erased a nine-point deficit in the first-half to defeat the Lions 78-62 to give DSU's head women's basketball coach Joe Reints his 100th career collegiate win.

VALLEY CITY, N.D. - Dakota State trailed 19-17 at halftime at W.E. Osmon Fieldhouse Wednesday night, but Valley City State's strong second-half surge defeated the Trojans 59-44 in women's basketball action. The win gave the Vikings a season series sweep with DSU.

The Trojans face their in-state rival University of Sioux Falls (10-2) on Tuesday night. Tip-off from the Stewart Center is set for 6 p.m. DSU returns home this weekend to host their former Dakota Athletic Conference members. MADISON, S.D. - Dakota State overcame a first-half slow start and grabbed a two-point lead at halftime over nationally-ranked Jamestown (N.D.) Saturday afternoon at DSU Fieldhouse. The Jimmies shot 54.2 percent (13-for-24) from the field and 12-for-17 from the free-throw line in the second-half as JC defeated Trojans 71-59.

FREMONT, Neb. - Dakota State built the game's largest lead on two occasions in the early second-half, but Midland rallied back to defeat the Trojans 88-84 in overtime thriller Saturday afternoon at Midland Event Center. It was the third overtime game this season for DSU.
