ST. CLOUD, Minn. - The Dakota State University women's fast-pitch softball team opened their 2010 campaign last weekend. The Trojans took part of the Husky Invitational, hosted by St. Cloud State University at the Husky Dome.

BROOKINGS, S.D. - On a windy day at the Jackrabbit Softball Stadium, the Dakota State softball team suffered a tough loss to South Dakota State, 4-3. It was the final regular season game for the Trojans before entering this weekend's DAC Postseason Tournament.

In Trojans final home doubleheader of the 2009 season, Dordt held to win both games despite a pair of Dakota State's rallies in both contests. Both games ending up in one-run games, 5-4 and 9-8. The losses dropped Dakota State to 17-21 overall, while Dordt raised their overall record to 19-21.

The Dakota State University softball team faced Black Hills State and earned a thrilling split in a make-up conference doubleheader at the Thue Softball Complex Monday. The Yellow Jackets defeated the Trojans in game one, 5-3, but the Trojans rallied back in the final inning in game two and won 3-2.
