MARION, Ind. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released its 2010 Daktronics-NAIA Track and Field Scholar Athletes after the conclusion of the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championship meet. Six athletes from Dakota State had received this prestigious honor.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The Dakota State University outdoor track and field team competed in the University of Sioux Falls Last Chance meet Saturday at the Lillibridge Track and Field Complex. The meet was the last regular season meet and their last chance to qualify for NAIA Nationals. Four Trojan individuals broke DSU school records.

DICKINSON, N.D. - The Dakota Athletic Conference outdoor track and field meet does not start until May, but the DAC Multi-Events were held on Sunday and Monday at the Badlands Activity Center. Three Trojan men's athletes competed in the decathlon. DSU earned eight team points to give the Trojans third place in the DAC Outdoor Track & Field conference standings where it will be completed on May 7th in Rapid City, S.D.

With just over a month of college track left to his name, Dakota State's Tyler Van Peursem would love to run in the DSU Invitational on Friday at Trojan Field. But this weekend, he will take his services to Des Moines, Iowa, in order to take part in the historic Drake Relays, which will take part on Friday and Saturday.
