Relay Club

The 2012-2013 school year is well on its way with Dakota State Track and Field having one of its most successful years ever. Our indoor track season just wrapped up with the DSU track team setting personal records across the board, as well ashaving our first men’s national champion ever in Andy Coy (1000 meter run in a South Dakota state record 2:24.94) and a national runner-up in Matt Fideler (mile run in a DSU record 4:06.64, as well as the fastest mile run by a South Dakota collegiate athlete in 2012).

We now look forward to the track and field team preparing for the start of the outdoor season. Throughout the years Dakota State track & field and cross country teams have increased in number, won numerous conference titles, consistently sent athletes to the National meet and produced numerous All-Americans, as well as All-Scholar individuals and teams. Therefore, the Relay Club has been established in order to create a way to continue to offer the opportunities needed to allow the athletes to reach their potential.

Sponsoring an athlete gives them a greater chance of success by increasing opportunities for better equipment, uniforms, and travel expenses. Your contributions directly improve our chances of continuing to produce competitive teams, and in return you could receive a short or long sleeve DSU track and field shirt or even a DSU pullover when you become an anchor leg relay member. With- out the help from past supporters of the program Dakota State track & field and cross country’s past successes would not have been possible. We hope we can count on your support and look forward to seeing you at our competitions this outdoor season and into 2013.
